A great wine always starts life in the vineyard.

Each hillside, each gully, each seam of soil can provide us with a completely original range of aromas, flavours and sensations if we are capable of discovering and respecting them.

Knowledge of our vineyards and each of their nooks and crannies proved fundamental to the creation of our “Collection”.

The year, hard work and patience led us to select the most suitable construction and ageing (time, type of oak, toasting, etc.) for each wine, those which best respected the characteristics which the vineyard had conferred upon it.

And so, gradually, the time arrived
to start our “Collection”.

Its name, “Collection and Land”, reflects our wish that each of the wines comprising it may allow us to enjoy the uniqueness of our exceptional vineyards. We want each wine to be our spokesperson, the interpreter that explains what the earth it comes from is like.

Each component of the Collection bears the name of the vineyard it comes from, followed by Vega Sindoa as surname. The Sindoa is a brook which springs at the head of the Nekeas valley, home to all our vineyards: it is the nexus which unites all the wines in the Collection.

We do not intend to present a “fashionable wine” or a “signature wine”, but rather to provide people with the opportunity to get carried away along with us in the discovery of unique wines. The wind, rain, soil and sunshine of the higher lands of the Valley of Nekeas mean that the minerals which the earth so jealously holds flow into the grapes.

We do not make all the wines in the Collection every year: only in ideal years, those which reveal the wines’ personal nuances.

The number of bottles is always limited because the lay of the land restricts the size of our vineyards.
